Megan Meade, CEO of TPFG,
has been a driving force behind
the firm’s innovation since
the early ’90s. Founded in the
Pacific Northwest in the mid’80s, TPFG initially focused on
helping small businesses and
entrepreneurs establish group
401(k) plans and managed
accounts. Megan joined the
firm after college, wearing
many hats to grow the RIA.
Noticing her friends with 401(k)s
lacked access to quality advice
due to asset minimums, she
explored solutions under ERISA
provision 404(c).
This led to the creation of
TPFG’s first mutual funds
in 2007 called single-ticker
models (STMs) offering
personalized investment
options for retirement plan
participants. As demand
grew, TPFG expanded its STM
solutions in 2017, introducing
innovative technology to build
risk-budgeted portfolios.
Further STM advancements
followed in 2020 along with
a proposal tool, and digital
onboarding in 2023.
Megan’s vision has
transformed TPFG into a multibillion-dollar TAMP, empowering
advisors with holistic “in-plan”
and “non-plan” solutions.
