Sterling Trustees is a boutique independent South Dakota chartered trust company providing trust and administration services to
high-net-worth and ultra-high-worth families. The company currently
administers over $10.5 billion of client trust assets across 500 trusts
and 175 families around the world.
Sterling Trustees’ business model is built on the premise that a trustee should not act as an investment advisor. By removing this conflict,
clients can engage investment advisors offering superior service and
returns. This also removes the distribution bias inherent in most bank
trust companies while lowering the total costs of administering the
trust.
Antony is the Chairman of
Sterling Trustees LLC and
oversees Sterling’s vision
and mission. He has over
17 years of trust industry
operating experience and
has led the growth of Sterling
to over $10 billion of assets
under administration. Antony
is the cofounder and Board
member of WealthHub – a
software application built
on Salesforce to streamline
trust administration. Antony
is also the cofounder and
former president of the South
Dakota Trust Association –
an association created to
represent the South Dakota
Trust industry.
Prior to joining Sterling,
Antony spent 15 years in the
financial services industry
in various roles including
President of a Pennsylvaniachartered trust company. As
Vice President at Janney Montgomery Scott’s
investment banking group,
he worked with emerging growth companies to
complete public and private
equity offerings, mergers and
acquisitions transactions,
valuations and other financial
advisory work. Antony started
his career as an auditor in
the Business Advisory Group
at Coopers & Lybrand. He
earned his MBA in finance
from Temple University
and his bachelor’s degree
in accounting from Emory
University.
Sterling has deep expertise in working with multi-generational
families that are looking for an independent trustee. The company is
also highly experienced in cross border trust work including domesticating trusts from foreign jurisdictions. Today Sterling Trustees has
clients in 25 different countries around the world.
Sterling’s growth over the last 17 years has been driven by its investment in technology, including WealthHub, which is a cloud-based
trust administration platform built on top of Salesforce. This platform
allows our trust officers to automate and better manage all the daily
tasks of being a trust officer, from onboarding a client, distributions,
investments reviews and monitoring investment advisor performance.
Sterling’s proprietary client portal, SterlingConnect, allows clients to
monitor their trust portfolios in near real time across multiple custodians. This efficiency allows us to spend more time servicing our
clients.
The business has been built through client referrals and relationships
with centers of influence, including respected law firms and investment advisors around the world. Sterling Trustees will act as both a
directed and delegated trustee.
